Jenn received a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from the University of Kansas . She cheered on the collegiate level for three years at the University of Kansas and was on the 1995 NCA Division I National Cheerleading Championship Team. Jenn has coached cheerleading and gymnastics for over eight years.

Emily received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Lipscomb University and a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from Tennessee State University . She has over eight years of cheerleading and coaching experience including competition squads.

General Cheer Info

• Tryouts are in the spring.
• Cheer camp is mandatory for all Varsity Cheerleaders. (Usually in June).
• Varsity Cheerleaders consist of sophomores through seniors; freshmen will be on the Junior Varsity Squad
• Cheerleading is a year round commitment- cheerleaders will cheer for both football and basketball seasons.

 HHS Cheerleader Candidate Tryout Requirements

1. Have physical on record with HHS the Friday before tryout cheer clinic begins. (Download Medical Form)- see attached.

2. Currently passing 5 out of 6 classes (transfers must provide a copy of their most recent report cards.)

3. Have application/consent form turned in on or before Friday before tryout cheer clinic begins. Applications will be available in the spring by emailing emyers@mnps.org or jgarcia@oasiscenter.org.

4. Have positive responses from teachers.  Negative responses can result in deduction of tryout score.

5. Have not received out of school suspension this academic year.

6. Returning cheerleaders must have a zero balance in your account and have returned all uniforms.

7. Be on time and in attendance for 2 out of 3 clinic nights.
